Dr. Brett Pearson is a chiropractic radiologist based in Des Moines, Iowa. He is the owner of Diagnostic Edge Radiology.
Dr. Pearson is from the Des Moines area. He received a bachelor degree in Biology from the University of Iowa. After two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zambia, he returned to Iowa and attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. During his first year at Palmer, he developed a passion for radiology and focused on pursing a career in that field. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer, while graduating with magna cum laude honors.
Following graduation, he was accepted into the diagnostic imaging residency at National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. During the three-year residency, Dr. Pearson was trained in proficiency in interpreting radiographs, MRI, and CT of the musculoskeletal system. Residency also included extensive training in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, including performing hundreds of hands-on studies. Dr. Pearson received a Master of Science degree in Diagnostic Imaging upon completing the residency. In 2017, he was certified by the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology. That same year, he was also certified to be Registered in Musculoskeletal sonography (RMSK), which is a certification awarded by the Alliance for Physician Certification and Advancement (APCA).
